Zanu-PF will today convene an ordinary meeting of the Politburo at its headquarters in Harare.

Secretary for Information and Publicity Cde Simon Khaya Moyo confirmed the meeting in a statement.

“The Secretary for Administration Dr Obert Mpofu wishes to advise all members that there shall be a Politburo meeting to be held on Wednesday 13 November, 2019 at the party headquarters commencing at 1000 hours,” he said.

“All members should be seated by 0945 hours.”

Some of the issues expected to be discussed include preparations for the party’s Annual National People’s Conference to be held next month in Goromonzi, Mashonaland East.

Also up for possible discussion is the fate of former Minister of Environment, Tourism and Hospitality Industry Prisca Mupfumira, who is facing corruption charges and has been fired from Government.

The setting up of party structures in Harare and Bulawayo and Zanu-PF’s triumph in the recently held council by-elections in Wedza (Ward 4) and Tsholotsho’s Ward 16 and Ward 20 are other issues likely to be reviewed.
