Nyaradzo launches ‘Sahwira Wear and Win’ promotion
THE Nyaradzo Group yesterday launched the “Sahwira Wear and Win” promotion to run for three months, during which participants will win fabulous prizes.
Unveiling the promotion, Nyaradzo Group CEO Mr Philip Mataranyika said they were creating the hype in order to take an inclusive approach to celebrating the integrated financial services provider and lifestyle entity’s 20th anniversary.
Established on March 1, 2001, the Nyaradzo Group has been holding a series of events to celebrate the milestone.
Mr Mataranyika said the promotion, which marks the high-point of the celebrations, is open to the group’s policyholders, together with their dependants who are over 18 years old.
Four draws will be held in July (one), August (one) and two in September, including the grand draw scheduled for the 24th.
The draws will be conducted virtually in compliance with Covid-19 protocols and live-streamed through Nyaradzo Group’s Facebook page via a link to be shared closer to the time of each draw.
The prizes to be won include brand new single cab Toyota trucks, tractors (together with their ploughs), motorcycles, vouchers for unforgettable holidays in Kariba, Nyanga and Vumba, laptops, iPads and cellphones, among others. Mr Mataranyika, who launched the promotion virtually, said participants just have buy Nyaradzo Group’s branded apparel named Sahwira wear, to qualify for the promotion.
“The Sahwira wear, which has been created to provide the best materials and designs for comfort and enjoyment, is available for purchase from the Nyaradzo Online Catalogue or Online Shop (www.sahwiraconnect.com) or any Nyaradzo branches across Zimbabwe,” he said, adding that policyholders can participate from whichever country they are based in as long as they have a valid Nyaradzo policy.
“In case you do not have a policy with us as yet, this is a great opportunity for you to join the Nyaradzo family by signing up for a policy with us . . . If you do have a policy already but have fallen behind in payments, this is your chance to update it so that you do not miss out on the opportunity to participate,” he said.
As is required by law, the promotion was approved by the Lotteries and Gaming Board in terms of the Lotteries and Gaming Act [Chapter 10:26].
Mr Mataranyika said the promotion was a way of showing gratitude to the multitudes of Nyaradzo’s stakeholders as it marks its 20th anniversary.
Already, Nyaradzo has held a series of events to mark the landmark, amongst them the Nyaradzo @20 marathon held in Nyazura, the Nyaradzo @20 Virtual Show and several other mini-events and engagements.
“However, we still felt that we were not inclusive enough. Today, we are therefore engaging the top gear in order to be more inclusive and diverse. This is meant to show you, our stakeholders, that you are special to us and that your Sahwira appreciates your patronage.”
“Those who were following conversations on various social media platforms and the mainstream media will recall that we have been promising you of a great unveiling. This is the moment you have been waiting for,” said Mr. Mataranyika. Following its formation in 2001, Nyaradzo has grown in leaps and bounds and now commands the super-brand status in Zimbabwe.
The Mataranyika-led corporate has transmuted into Zimbabwe’s largest funeral services provider and second largest life business, in a space of 20 years. Whereas the group started off as undertakers through Nyaradzo Funeral Services, it has since incorporated several other units under its ambit including Nyaradzo Life Assurance Company, Calundike Exports, Eureka Insurance Brokers, Sahwira Events and Lifestyle, Sahwira Bureau De Change and Nyaradzo Asset Management.
Nyaradzo has also extended its presence into the region and beyond through service centres in South Africa and the United Kingdom.
Mr Mataranyika said the group has been transformed into an integrated financial service provider, which is on its way to becoming a high-tech business to enable their customers to access product innovations and services at the click of the button and from the comforts of their living rooms.
“We could not have achieved all this without the valued support of our primary stakeholder – the customer – whose loyalty is making Nyaradzo Group contribute to a plethora of national objectives.
“Because of our customers, we have been on a steady, continuous growth spurt. In the process, we have created employment and empowered our communities through various projects. We are thus making our modest contribution towards the growth and development of our economy.
“Our commitment to our customers, who are making these things happen, is unequivocal, as demonstrated by the huge investments that we are making towards increasing our service delivery capacity, the bankrolling of world class products and services as well as our esteemed customized solutions.
“This could also not have been possible without the unwavering support of our Government and its agencies. For that, we are extremely grateful,” he said.
