South Africa-based urban grooves musician Enock Guni — popularly known as “Nox” — has roped in Ugandan award-winning songwriter and vocalist Athen Lyre on his upcoming single to be released mid-January. Titled “Keys to your heart”, the single will be accompanied by a video. In an interview, Nox, through his manager Spencer Madziya, said they are optimistic that the single which was produced by DJ Pit will find its way on popular music channels including Channel O and Trace.

“The song was written by both Nox and Athen Lyre and its due for release mid January. We are currently shooting the video because we want to release the productions at once,” he said.

He highlighted that the song is in different languages so as to cater for a diverse audience since it targets the international market. “The song is in Swahili, French, English and Shona so that many people from different countries will be able to enjoy it without language barriers,” he said.

Madziya added that their intention is to leave a mark musically in Africa.

“Our ultimate goal is to make our mark in Africa through synergy and we believe it’s the right time for us now. We have waited for too long and with the effort we have put on this project, it is our hope that it will reach its fullest potential,” he said.

“As promised, this management team will push for Nox to conquer Africa. “This is one of those projects to look out for and we are also working on more projects with other celebrated African stars that we can’t reveal now for professional reasons,” he said.

Nox has performed locally and internationally with a number of hits on under belt including “Maria”, “Ndinonyara” and “Zvandadiwa” among others.
