MALABO. — Equatorial Guinea’s President Teodoro Obiang’ Nguema Mbasogo has promoted his first son Teodorin Nguema Obiang (47) to the position of the country’s Vice President in charge of defence and security, according to a decree read on state television on Wednesday. “In accordance with the Basic Law of Equatorial Guinea, I appoint His Excellency Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue Vice President of the Republic,” read the presidential decree. — Agencies/HR.
