Never give up in life

Dr Nick Ohizu The Voice of God

Things are getting harder every day for quite a lot of people. The challenges of life are bringing a lot of doubt into the hearts of many.

As I mentioned last week, a lot of people are quitting on God. When the answers to prayers are delayed, many are tempted to quit. The desire to keep praying continues to decrease as things get harder.

Many are looking for other options as their trust in God’s ability to come through for them are decimated by persistent and increasing troubles.

I am among the people who had many reasons to fail and give up. But my persistence in my prayer and faith in God has birthed many miracles that I can boldly declare that quitting has no reward.

I had a blessing that came into my life nine years ago. The completion of that blessing was taking too long as many complicated processes were required to get it through. I engaged all the people I knew had the power to help me, but they all failed.

I presented the matter to God in prayer for the past nine years but the more I was praying, the more the situation kept getting worse and worse. I had people very close to me advise me to let it go because it was not meant to be.

I got to a point last year when I almost gave up because I was almost convinced by the enemy that God will never come through for me.

Today, I can boldly testify that after nine good years of prayer, persistence, sowing, pushing and crying to the Lord, my faith and persistence in God has paid off. That blessing finally came through this week.

I love this bible verse, “Then the LORD answered me and said: “Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry” [Habakkuk 2:2-3 NKJV].

God told Habakkuk that the vision was for an appointed time. Most of the things we are believing God to do for us have an appointed time.

God never promised us that everything we want will happen according to our timing.

The ability to wait is a virtue every child of God must possess. He warned us that some things will tarry. Instead of giving up, I suggest that you begin to classify your delayed miracles as things that God intended to tarry.

You can only live to see your breakthrough if you are willing to wait. The waiting period is something a lot of people are not so familiar or comfortable with because we are living in the microwave generation where everything happens at the speed of light.

When it comes to the things of God, we must understand that God moves with His timing not ours. We should learn to wait patiently for tarring blessings because when they finally arrive, we will understand that the breakthrough is worth the wait.

One of my cousins got married at 55 years. I can say that she had more beautiful sisters and they all got married before her. Some people said that she would never get married because she was not as beautiful as her sisters. With prayers and consistent giving, she finally got married at 55 years.

I do not know what you have been praying and believing God for. I want you to know that God has a way of proving your enemies wrong.

The voice of God is telling you today not to give up because your miracle is closer than you think. If you stay with God, you will live to testify. Someone once said that the reason people are quitting on God and going to try satan is because of time.

A lady passing 45 years may be placed under pressure because of age to try other gods.

Use my cousin’s testimony to know that they still stand a chance. For those of us that are counting 45 years as too old. Please take a pen and write down how many years you still want to live.

Let us say that you have written 30 more years. That means you have 30 more years to pray; 30 more years to try; 30 more years to make it happen. So do not allow people whose time already came to put you under pressure to give up on God.

I want you to memorise this scripture today; “He has made everything beautiful in its time” [Ecclesiastes 3:11. NKJV]. God is still in the business of making everything beautiful and that includes your life. You need to understand that He makes things beautiful at his time and he does not have to explain to us what he is doing in the background. Do not live like you do not have God. No matter how bad it may look right now, I can assure you that the troubles will not last forever. “The things concerning me have an end” [Luke 22:37 KJV]. Everything written about you must be fulfilled, everything concerning you shall definitely come to an end. Never, never give up.
