THE National Athletics Association of Zimbabwe have postponed the Level Two Middle and Long Distance coaching course that was scheduled for December 10 to 17 in Bulawayo due to Covid-19.

Karl Günter Lange from Germany was set to facilitate the course.

NAAZ president Tendai Tagara said they had to move the course to next year since the facilitator is from outside the country and will have to undergo 10 days of quarantine on his arrival in Zimbabwe.

“NAAZ have cancelled the Level Two Middle and Long Distance course pencilled for 10-17 December due to Covid 19.

“Our facilitator is from outside the country. We felt that we should wait. So the course is now set for January 31 to February 7, 2022 at the same venue, in Bulawayo, under the same conditions.

“We have already rebooked the facilitator’s air ticket.

“We have also postponed the seminar pencilled for the 9th of December 2021 to 30th of January 2022 because the same facilitator was to run the programme,” said Tagara.

Sixteen coaches were expected to attend the course.
