SEASONED Runyararo Service Stations Northern Region Division One League campaigners Mushowani Stars coach Levison Selous believes their back-to-back wins over Golden Valley will boost his players confidence.

Mushowani have reduced the gap between them and pacesetters Beta X1 to a single point after they managed to beat the goldminers 3-1 at Rimuka on Saturday.

The Madziva side beat the goldminers for the second time in two weeks as the season returned from a mid-season break.

Mushowani got their goals from Sunny Saware, Davies Kamanga and Paul Chiramba.

“We are happy with the win and it has given us confidence ahead of our next game which will be at home.

‘’We are very happy with our rate of of conversion and it is good that we are working as a unit and everyone is scoring goals,” said Selous.

They have now gone seven games without a defeat and the win has taken them into second place with 34 points.

Golden Valley have since dropped into fifth position and remain stuck on 31 points.

Beta XI were restricted to a 1-1 draw by visiting Banket United and are still on top of the log by a single point.
