DYNAMOS midfielder Donald “Kante” Mudadi is hoping to see the Glamour Boys arrive at the party as they have done over the past two years when they play CAPS United in the Harare derby tomorrow.

DeMbare have dominated the Green Machine in their recent meetings with Mudadi a key part of the process.

He will play his first Harare derby at Rufaro where Dynamos have been finding it difficult to get results this year.

“I believe history can repeat itself. So I am looking forward to the match against CAPS United on Sunday (tomorrow),” said Mudadi.

“Obviously we are not underrating them (CAPS United) but we are really confident of getting a positive outcome.

“CAPS United have been doing very well at Rufaro of late and we have not been at our best at the same venue. But I guarantee you that a derby is different from all that. It is not about form. It is about wits and so many other factors.”

Mudadi said Dynamos can begin a new chapter by collecting the maximum points in the berby against Makepekepe.

“If you look at it last season, we were struggling in the lead up to the Harare Derby but we used it as our turn-it-around step.

“Once we beat CAPS United last year, everything started to fall into place and it’s a shame we failed to sustain our charge but we really finished strongly,” added Mudadi.

“As players, we are very motivated knowing that everyone will be looking at us on Sunday. We know what derbies are all about. That is the main motivation. We are really eager to showcase ourselves.”

The 2023 Soccer Star of the Year runner-up pleaded with fans to come in their numbers to Rufaro.

Dynamos fans have been turning up in decent numbers despite the team’s struggles at Rufaro.

“Fans should come in their numbers as they have always done even when we were not performing well. We are very much appreciative of their support and we are calling upon them to continue rallying behind us. This is a big encounter and we obviously know that they will play some really big roles.

“Our fans are our biggest assets and we need them tomorrow.

“Derbies are made big by the atmosphere created by supporters. So we are pleading with them to come in their numbers.”
