A Midlands State University student, Cynthia Musingwanani from Chitungwiza, walked away with a brand new Range Rover Evoque vehicle valued at over US$100 000 which she won last month in the Spar Hoza Summer Bonanza promotion.

The 24-year-old marketing student could not hide her joy when she was handed over the keys at a ceremony held at the offices of the Land Rover dealers Premier Auto Services. She bought groceries at SPAR Joina City and entered the Hoza Summer promotion that was running in selected SPAR stores and won the grand prize.

“I am still shocked that I won this car. I did not expect to win a brand new car when I can’t even drive,” said Cynthia.

“I was always reluctant to fill in the competition coupons and winning has changed my life. I was excited and shocked, but I also figured out that these competitions are real. There is absolutely no corruption involved,” said the jovial Cynthia.

Asked what she would do with the vehicle, Cynthia – who was accompanied by her father and brother – said she would probably sell the car and invest the proceeds in her education and a residential property.
