The Ecuadorian beauty, Tatiana Torres (26), commended the hospitality of Zimbabweans who have treated her well since she arrived.

“I believe people should conserve their native religions as well as traditional foods and clothing so that tourists and also future generations may understand their history and heritage,” she said.

She is a seasoned campaigner for the preservation of culture and heritage in her country as well as the empowerment of disadvantaged women and children.

“I believe that tourism can become an effective and sustainable vehicle for linking culture and development by developing a community-based approach,” she said.
