OLD Georgians rugby player Jonathan Miller has stepped up his preparations for the Arnold Classic Africa set for May 27 in Durban.

The Pro-Fitness gym-based athlete said preparations were well on course and he is looking forward to the event.

He will compete in the Classic bodybuilding category.

“It is good after I switched from rugby where I used to turn out for Old Georgians and I am now focusing on bodybuilding and to take part in the Arnold Classic is good for me. This will be a tough competition, but I am looking forward to the challenge.

“The Arnold Classic Africa is an international tournament which I am proud to be part of.

“I have always been a bodybuilding fanatic and for 10 years I was in the sport, but I started to take it seriously some two years ago.

“I believe we are well represented as Team Zimbabwe and, with the help of my sponsor at Pro-Fitness Sam Levy and my trainer Marius Bonne, I think I will not disappoint,” he said.

Meanwhile, reigning Mr Zimbabwe Physique champion Godwin Mhaka will be holding a free fitness and health seminar at Hellenic Sports Club on April 2.

Mhaka will be assisted by Quiet Shangai, the National Federation of Zimbabwe Bodybuilding and Fitness spokesperson, as well as Tinashe “Doctor Fitness” Chishanga.

The event will have support from Power House Fitness Club PHFC who will on the day launch their stable.

Fitness enthusiasts will enjoy aerobics, health and fitness lectures as well as discussions.
