Fast-rising musician Ashton Nyahora, popularly known as Mbeu, is making inroads in showbiz and is currently one of the busiest young musicians on the live show terrain.

He holds about three shows every week when others are complaining about lack of performance space. Mbeu and his manager Eugene Museredza are working hard to take their music to the people and the efforts are bringing positive results.

Tonight Mbeu performs at Red Café, a joint that has become a new home to many artistes. Because of a busy programme that was deliberately crafted to carter for many genres, Red Café has been able to host several musicians in the previous few weeks.

Mbeu takes advantage of such opportunities and tonight he will be reaching out to another sect of audiences.

Museredza said they are working hard to ensure that the young musician gets up the music ladder faster.

“We have a busy schedule every week. We try to do as many live shows as possible to push the brand. The results are encouraging because we have been able to get a number of corporate deals. Because of many shows that we hold, we sometimes meet executives and decision makers of big companies that endorse our act,” said Museredza.

“The numbers to our shows have also been increasing because every time we perform we get new followers that become regulars at our gigs. We hope there will be many people at Red Café because it is a central venue.”

In the spirit of embracing various genres, Red Café will tomorrow host reggae outfit Transit Crew.

The joint’s Saturday slots have been dedicated to reggae following good crowds at previous shows featuring reggae artistes.
