AHEAD of two CAF inter-club games at the National Sports Stadium this weekend, the first of the two opponents of Zimbabwe’s representatives arrived in the country last night. Recreativo do Libolo of Angola arrived at around 6.30pm to begin preparations for their second leg showdown with Ngezi Platinum which will be played on Saturday.The match gets underway at 2pm.

Ngezi will go into the encounter needing a victory in order to progress to the next stage of the tournament, having lost the first leg 1-2.

CAPS United’s opponents in the second leg of the African Champions League first round, TP Mazembe, will arrive tomorrow ahead of the Sunday afternoon clash.

The 100-member Mazembe delegation will arrive at 1415hours aboard a private flight. Abbas Amidu’s away goal in Lubumbashi gives CAPS United a slight advantage ahead of Sunday’s clash at 3pm. Both clubs, though, have a fair chance of making it into the group stages — zifa.org.
