Rising Afro-fusion musician Ranson Madzamba, also known as Mazarura in the music circles, has released a single promoting the Government’s vision to attain an upper middle income economy by 2030 under the much applauded Vision 2030.

The single titled “Vision 2030 Tinosvika/Siyafika” was released together with a high-quality video that showcases some developmental activities being undertaken by the Second Republic from road construction and rehabilitation, agriculture, mining, tourism, youth and women empowerment, sport and arts to many other developmental initiatives taking place in the country.

Mazarura believes artists, especially musicians, have a superior role to play in the developmental discourse of the country.

“Artists, especially musicians, have a bigger role to play for every nation to prosper,” he said. “Music has many powerful attributes that include entertaining, educating, selling an ideology, among many others.

“Music thus has the power to build and even give hope to a society. The song “Vision 2030 Tinosvika/Siyafika” lays out a number of things we are all supposed to do for us to achieve an upper middle income society by the year 2030.

“Everyone of us has a role to play for Vision 2030 to be attained. No one will ever come from outside to build our country. Zimbabwe is for us Zimbabweans and it is our role to build our great nation for our own good and the generation to come.

“The video of the song lays out various activities that the Second Republic is undertaking and indeed giving much hope to the general public that Vision 2030 can be attained and indeed it can be achieved without doubt.”

In his music career, Mazarura is proving to be more of a developmental Afro-fusion musician.

Last year, he released the songs “Africa” and “Tinochema Magamba”. The songs talk and preach patriotism, unity of purpose and development.

It is not surprising to note that he is the first musician to have coined a deep song on Vision 2030.

Mazarura is proving to be a force to reckon with in the Zimbabwean music industry as he also released a jiti track titled “Mukoma Bernard”. The track was released last week and at a time the country started observing 16 days against gender-based violence.

Mazarura described “Mukoma Bernard” as a male character that ignorantly fails to look after his kids. In the song, he encourages all the Mukoma Bernards out there to look after their kids.
