Mashonaland Central Provincial Affairs Minister Monica Mavhunga has warned civil servants to desist from all forms of corruption as there will be no sacred cows in dealing with the scourge.

Addressing provincial heads in Bindura recently, Minister Mavhunga said no one would be spared in the fight against corruption.

“We should all join hands in fighting corruption,” she said.

“I want to urge you to desist from all forms of corruption and abuse of office. We know that most of us are not satisfied with our earnings, but we should be grateful that we are being paid something.

“We have to contribute in the economic turnaround programmes. Gone are the days of absconding from work as well as loitering. We should ensure that all the projects we embark on are closely supervised to ensure that they are completed on time.”

She urged the Grain Marketing Board to speed up maize collection to avoid side-marketing.
