The Zanu-PF Masvingo’s Provincial Youth League has endorsed President Mnangagwa as the party candidate for the 2023 harmonised elections in a show of confidence in his leadership. Speaking at a meeting held in Zaka last weekend, Masvingo Provincial Youth League chairman Cde Brian Munyoro said the new dispensation under the stewardship of President Mnangagwa had shown affinity to the people’s concerns.

“As the party’s youths in Masvingo Province, we want to congratulate our leader President Mnangagwa for his emphatic victory in the July 30 harmonised polls,” he said.

“We further commit ourselves to continue giving him support because of his servant leadership qualities. In addition, we endorse his candidature for the 2023 Presidential polls under the banner and slogan “2023 ED Pfeeee”.

“We are very happy that he is championing the devolution concept, which will boost economies in all the 10 administrative provinces. For instance, under Masvingo Province, Zaka District people are assured of getting benefits from projects such as the Tugwi-Mukosi, Siya and Manjerenje dams through the expanded scope for irrigation and fisheries.

“We anticipate the youths to form the bulk of the beneficiaries”.

Cde Munyoro said the youths should be disciplined and should remain focused on the founding ideals of the revolutionary party.

He said they must avoid being used by politicians for selfish gains.

He said it was also important for them (youths) to rally behind the Head of State and his team as they work on the national economic recovery programme.

“President Mnangagwa is our leader, he is our farther .We cannot run away from him now because of the economic climate. These are the evil works of saboteurs.

“The financial stabilisation programme and Command Agriculture initiative are primed to restore food security in the country,” he said.

Cde Munyoro added that the President’s character and calibre could not be matched by anyone.

“We are fully behind him and believe he will lead us to the Promised Land,” he said
