Zanu PF Manicaland Province has commended President Mnangagwa for his leadership in the fight against Covid-19.

In a statement yesterday, provincial secretary for Information and Publicity Cde Oliver Mandipaka said this commendation was made at the last Provincial Coordinating Committee meeting held on July 18.

Cde Mandipaka said the party had thrown its full weight behind its First Secretary and President of Zimbabwe.

“The Zanu PF Manicaland Province sitting on the 18th of July 2020 at its Provincial Coordinating Committee meeting chaired by Cde Mike Madiro (the Provincial Chairman) unanimously and equivocally passed a resolution to extend its heartfelt gratitude to the First Secretary of the Party and President of the Republic of Zimbabwe Cde Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa for his stewardship in combating the spread of the deadly pandemic Covid-19,” read the statement

Cde Mandipaka urged the opposition to stop grandstanding at a time when the country needed peace and unity to prevail.

He said the party was fully behind Vision 2030 and the “Zimbabwe is Open for Business” mantra.

“In the same vein, Zanu PF Manicaland Province stands ready to defend the leadership of Cde Emmerson Mnangagwa and his National Vision for this country, which has remained vulnerable to the so called regime change agenda and illegal economic sanctions.

“We want to assure the nation that following the planned illegal demonstrations by our detractors, political opposition elements and certain misguided civic organisations supporting regime change agenda; Zanu PF Manicaland Province stands ready to defend the gains of our protected liberation struggle and the current political administration in the New Dispensation,” said Cde Mandipaka.
