Man in court for US$125 000 theft

A 41-YEAR-OLD man from Harare, Vhurumu Mutero, has been charged with stealing US$125 000 he was entrusted with to buy a car and household items.
Mutero, accused of theft of trust property, was remanded on US$300 bail to January 14 2025 by Harare magistrate Ms Apollonia Marutya.
Prosecutor Mr Rufaro Chonzi said between February and July of this year, Mutero was given us$125 000 to make household purchases and a Toyota single cab, but converted funds to personal use.
