We know President Mugabe and ZANU-PF will be thrilled if this generation of Zimbabweans and Africans arrive at the conclusion of the pan-African giant WEB DuBois when he said: “A system cannot fail people it was never meant to protect.”

Because settler and neo-colonialism without question have left an eternal stain on African history which also has impacted on all humanity, including nations and peoples who due to a grotesque obsession with racist dogma have always rejected us as part of the human race, the recent political drama known as Brexit certainly provides more intrigue than works of arguably Britain’s most creative wordsmiths in modern history – the novelist Agatha Christie and filmmaker Alfred Hitchcock.

For those amongst our people who have always felt compelled to not only study and master British history as well as their most intriguing political manoeuvres, primarily because they are after all colonialism’s architects in the first place, what must not be forgotten is the answers with the most clarity and substance could come from the most unlikely source which to the surprise of many are not of either British or European origin.

This notion by no means is to sarcastically suggest or boldly declare as many nationalist and pan-Africanists amongst our ranks of fighters have in the past stated that we should ignore European language and culture altogether. However, it would be criminal if we fail to ignore how the question of Zimbabwe who US-EU imperialism has conditioned many Africans to avoid at all costs, might very well be in the best position to help us understand the diabolical mental state of British Prime Minister David Cameron.

It is no secret that Cameron considers his predecessor Sir Winston Churchill the finest politician in British history, the PM has stated on record that Churchill’s decision to fight Hitler on the battlefield is Britain’s defining moment and saved the world from, as he puts it, Nazi tyranny.

For so-called African Americans who were able to successfully stay awake in US history not due to any intellectual deficiency, but as an act of resistance towards an intellectual paradigm that insists on beginning the African experience when the slaves arrived in Jamestown, Virginia, in 1607 or 1619, it is more than likely their teachers never discussed Churchill’s Defence of Freedom speech which was broadcast on US radio on October 16, 1938.

Since the voting pattern for so-called African Americans that has resulted in blind loyalty to the Democratic Party came full circle during this moment in history, it must be remembered that is was President Franklin Delano Roosevelt who not only provided Churchill with this platform, but hoped US citizens would hang on to every word of a man known for his uncanny ability to be linguistically convincing and manipulative. These were some of the words that rolled off Churchill’s tongue: “British casting away the habits of centuries will decree national service upon her citizens. The British people will stand erect and will face whatever may be coming but arms instrumentalities as President Wilson called them are not sufficient by themselves; we must add to them the power of ideas. People say we ought not to allow ourselves to be drawn into a theoretical antagonism between Nazism and democracy but the antagonism is here and now.”

It is almost irresistible to overlook the fact that US presidential hopeful Donald Trump appears to have succeeded in selling PM Cameron an isolationist immigration policy using a methodology that draws a striking comparison to how Churchill convinced Roosevelt that US imperialism should consider the defeat of Hitler a political necessity. Our comrades in Zimbabwe will remind the rest of Mother Africa’s daughters and sons, former British PM Tony Blair persuaded former US president George W. Bush’s assistance in the war in Iraq and an illegal racist regime change in Zimbabwe went hand in hand.

The African world will forever cherish the memory of former South African president Thabo Mbeki letting the cat out of the bag and letting us know that PM Blair openly asked him to help plan a military invasion of Zimbabwe, which validated President Mugabe assertion that US-EU imperialism has always underestimated the fraternal bond that has existed between SADC peoples and nations.

What came as no surprise was Zimbabwe’s former Minister of Finance Tendai Biti, who was then the secretary- general of MDC-T, in typical neo-colonialist and reactionary fashion leaped to the defence of his master by saying this was a serious allegation and he thought there should be evidence. This was hardly shocking since it was public knowledge that MDC-T resented the fact that Cde Mbeki never took them seriously and was visionary enough to realise Morgan Tsvangirai presiding over Zimbabwe would threaten the stability of all of Southern Africa.

One of US-EU imperialism’s most cold-blooded and barbaric tendencies is their willingness to kill their own kith and kin in cold blood over who should control the human and material resources of the planet earth. In the book “Uncle Sam’s Unaccomplished Dream” by the Cuban revolutionary Angela Grau Imperatori, we are reminded not only that the first seven US presidents had concrete plans to annex Cuba similar to the manner that Texas and California were stripped from Mexico, but this was at the very heart of the Spanish-American war.

There isn’t a Zimbabwean or African for that matter who can deny that President Mugabe and ZANU-PF have consistently reminded this generation that a failure to reverse the brain drain will compromise Mother Africa for many generations to come, regardless of the thrust and language of Brexit willing culprits in the regime change agenda of US-EU imperialism will always be able to find a home in Britain or the United States. The Peter Pan and Marielista generations in Cuba were always welcomed in the US, who in return expressed their gratitude by helping plan 635 assassination attempts on the life of Commandante Fidel Castro.

The challenge will be for Zimbabweans who have been in denial about the impact of US-EU sanctions on the political and economic infrastructure, and have envisioned joining their fellow countrymen in the US and UK that live in opulence and bash President Mugabe and ZANU-PF every chance the get, openly acknowledge that they are products of Zimbabwe’s educational system, one of the crowning achievements of the Second Chimurenga.

Our children will be taught that the very geographical location that the Honourable Marcus Mosiah Garvey transitioned, where the 5th Pan African Congress that led to the dismantling of settler colonialism in 1945, that also was a training ground for African freedom fighters like Osagyefo Kwame Nkrumah, CLR James, Walter Rodney, Maurice Bishop, Fela Anikulapo Kuti, to name but a few, appears to be hesitant to grant Africans access on their precious soil.

This ode to Emperor Trump is not a historical accident for so-called African Americans our points of reference should be the Honourable Marcus Mosiah Garvey and Claudia Jones who were deported back to Jamaica and Trinidad for their political activity inside US borders.

We know President Mugabe and ZANU-PF will be thrilled if this generation of Zimbabweans and Africans arrive at the conclusion of the pan-African giant WEB DuBois when he said: “A system cannot fail people it was never meant to protect.”
