CUMII Technologies, an Econet Group internet of things (IoT) company that provides on-demand services, has expanded its continental footprint after launching its Business-to-Business Tasknites programme in Ethiopia recently.

The organisation, which already has presence in Botswana, Rwanda, Malawi, Zambia, Burundi, Kenya, Tanzania and South Africa, provides low-cost research solutions to customers through the use of tailor-made mobile apps.

Cumii Technologies CEO Norman Moyo said: “As the world embraces the fourth industrial revolution, which hinges on digital technology, businesses that seek to stay ahead of competition require timely information for innovative approaches that will enable them to remain relevant in a face-paced world.

“With rapidly increasing mobile penetration in Africa, Tasknites is among the very few research companies that have adopted and increased the viability of mobile market research for the benefit of clients, whilst simultaneously addressing challenges related to youth employment.”

Despite its importance, research is considered costly, with old methods usually seen as slow and subject to manipulation.

Tasknites, through its tech-based research solutions, leverages on the use of mobile based applications to reduce the cost of research whilst providing real-time, accurate and end-to-end market research services.

The applications, which are specifically tailor-made for clients regardless of industry or sector (private, public, donor and NGO), allow clients to track progress of their requested research online.
