Herald Reporter
Zambian President, Mr Edgar Lungu, today arrived in the country on his first official visit to a foreign country as Head of State since his election last month following the death of Mr Michael Sata.

He was met at the Harare International Airport by Vice President Emmerson Mnangagwa before proceeding to the State House where he was welcomed by President Mugabe and after exchanging a few pleasantries the two went into a closed door meeting.

The visit is meant to foster relations between the two countries and also to brief President Mugabe, in his capacity as chairperson for both Sadc and the African Union, on developments in Zambia.

President Lungu was accompanied by his Foreign Affairs minister, Mr Harry Kalaba, Press and Public Relations secretary Mr Amos Chanda and his Political Affairs assistant Mr Kaizer Zulu.
