MoralE in sungura ace Alick Macheso’s camp is high as they introduce the prodigal son Jonasi Kasamba at Pamuzinda Ice and Fire tonight.Kasamba together with talented guitarist Noel Nyazanda and drummer Obert Gomba left the group about three years ago forming their outfit Extra Kwazvose.

However, after the fall of the outfit the three have been making efforts to rejoin the group.

Macheso changed his mind after he vowed he would not take them back.

Gomba is already back at Orchestra Mberikwazvo and Kasamba will be the second to return.

A source said Nyazanda was on his way back to the outfit though he is likely not to be involved in the coming album.

“Macheso is a soft man who always loves to forgive and as we speak Nyazanda is coming back but he will not be part of the coming album,” he said.

He said talks were at an advanced stage with guitarist who has been nomadic.

Tich Makahamadze who is Macheso spokesperson said he would not say much about the new developments but promised fans surprise packages at their shows as well as on the new album.

“Our shows will be different and we are happy that things are going to our plan,” he said.

He said as they were leaving any stone unturned in preparing their fans good acts on stage.

“Mberikwazvo is an institution that respects fans and all arts stakeholders as such we always want to give people our best,” he said.

The songs he has been sampling at live shows have been well received by fans.

“The songs are being sampled in full and that alone tells that the album is there and is ready,” he said.

Some of the songs that have been sampled on live shows can be roughly called “Wandirangaridza”, “Nhai Baba”, “Munyaradzi” and “Gomo”. Makahamadze said they were finalising the album and it will be released next month.
