Tourism Talk

This is not mere tourism hyperbole. It is not an embellishment, for, seeing is believing.

Superimposing on the temple of Harare’s leafy Belgravia suburb, Kapoto Restaurant has stood the taste and test of time.

Upmarket, tastefully decorated and on well-manicured lush green grounds Kapoto offers a pummel of dishes in traditional realm and the most outstanding feature is the cleanliness.

It is smart, smart and smart. Smart!

You can enjoy traditional dishes at Kapoto that include starches such as sadza (white maize, sorghum and millet) conventional rice, rice in peanut butter etc.

The choice is wide, there is certainly something for anyone or something for everyone.

The relish is a pommel of mixed traditional cooks from some of the grandest tapestries, reminiscent of those made by the dexterity of experienced village old women, the so-called harbingers of cuisines for royal families.

The chefs at Kapoto must certainly have gone through the hands of some of the old experienced women cooks in the village.

The way they make their ox tail dish, the road runner chicken and others is typical hunger busting tactic.

Sadza and oxtail is indeed a hunger buster.

Then there are trotters, goat stripes and a whole lot of traditional dishes, including biltong and butter. Traditional vegetables abound too dried or fresh.

Food is excellent and your taste buds will get things right particularly eaten under the best environment. In these days of Covid-19 you don’t need a dirty and crammed place.

And, Kapoto simply gives you the best treatment; the best dishes and the best hospitality.

The staff is just right there and ever smiling and hospitable. Kapoto has plenty of parking space, secured by trained security.

When everything is normal, customers have a choice to sit inside or outside, for, at times food is also about mood.  When your mood is right, food tastes well.

When you have time and indeed when you want to have the best of all traditional dishes, Kapoto is the place to be.

Any day, you will find something that excites your taste buds. It is the place to eat from.
