KADOMA City Council has embarked on a fundraising project, where it is hiring out its plant and equipment to other local authorities and various business partners to increase its revenue base.

Residents and ratepayers owe the city $33 million and the move is expected to cushion the city from cash flow challenges. In an interview yesterday, Kadoma City Council public relations officer Mr Francis Kachere said the city’s Health Department is leading the way in boosting revenue.

“The Health Department has managed to establish a strategic business, where it is hiring out plant and equipment to other local authorities, private firms and individuals,” he said.
