JUST IN: Man claims $96k from brother’s estate

IN a bizarre lawsuit filed at the High Court this week, a Harare man is claiming more than $96 500 from the estate of his late brother to recover expenses he incurred in looking after hissibling during a long illness.

Mr Paul Simango claims he took care of his late brother during an ailment that stretched from 2010 to January this year and incurred medical expenses.

He is also claiming $9 600 for the food that he provided to the now deceased during the eightyears of the illness, plus airtime to the tune of $960.

Mr Simango also wants to be paid for funeral expenses to the tune of $11 400.

In the court case, filed at the High Court by TK Hove & Partners, Mr Simango said his late brother’s widow was staying in America at the time he incurred the expenses related to the illness.

When Mr Simango’s brother, Nathan, died on January 29 this year, the estate was registered with the Master of High Court.
