Speaking at the handover ceremony of motorcycles, Minister of State for Provincial Affairs Aplonia Munzverengwi said these would go a long in motivating field staff while increasing their area of operation.
“The allocation has been a big motivation to our field staff who were being forced to walk long distances in their bid to reach out to more farmers.
“The motorbikes will address issues of mobility and puts the burden on them to deliver,” she said.
Minister Munzverengwi said the bikes would also help in the supervision of staff so that they provide efficient service to the the farmers.
Mashonaland East provincial Agritex officer Mr Leonard Munamati said:
“We are expecting more motorcycles and electronic gadgets to be delivered. We applaud Government for this initiative.
