THE country’s leading junior golfer Bret Krog is confident that the Zimbabwe junior team, which leaves the country for the Curro South Africa International championships tomorrow, will hold their own at this event. The event will be held at Langeban Country Club in Western Cape, South Africa, from Monday.

Apart from Krog, the other members of the Zimbabwean team are Jack Allard, Mbongeni Maphosa, Kieran Vincent, Travis Smith and Justin Kirsten while Melford Sibanda is the non-travelling reserve.

Krog said they prepared enough and are now looking forward to the event.

“We had good preparations with everything going on well and we are now looking forward to the event.

“We will leave early so that we can take part in the practice rounds and familiarise ourselves with the course. “The team is good and I hope one of us will be able to bring the trophy home as we have been working hard,” Krog said. — The Herald
