Joy in Mudzi as Chimango Clinic is commissioned

There was jubilation in Ward 4 of Mudzi District when Chimango Clinic was officially commissioned today.
Built using devolution and constituency development funds, the clinic has brought relief to residents who have been walking for more than 10 km to the next clinic.
Mrs Esnath Kusikwenyu of Tirivangani Village said women are the most affected when health institutions are far.
“Some women would give birth at home while others would deliver their babies on their way to the clinic,” she said.
“We are the most affected. This area is known for malaria and we have lost some people because of that. Now that we have a clinic near our homes, we are sure the problem has come to an end.
“This clinic has brought joy to Ward 4 residents. We are thankful to the Government as well as Mudzi Rural District Council for funds channelled towards the construction of the clinic.”
Another resident, Mr Zephania Kufengurwa said: “I am one of the people that have been walking a long distance to get to the clinic,” he said.
“We are happy that the Government built this clinic for us. We can now access medication closer to our homes. We are happy that the Government did not forget us. Indeed, the Second Republic is leaving no one and no place behind,” he said.
