Top local promoter David Mudzudzu of Joy Centre is on the verge of uniting Ngosimbi Crew that had parted ways some years back following the death of its leader Admire Kasenga. Two lead singers Sam Mabukwa and Clever Musaengana did not agree on several issues leading to their split. Mabukwa used the same name Ngosimbi Crew while Musaengana formed Mbeure Kings.

Both camps were excited to have a joint show at Joy Centre recently, thanking Mudzudzu the owner of the venue for his effort to unite them. Mabukwa said it was very important for the group to unite so that it regain its mojo.

“We had our differences but Admire left a legacy behind. I am happy that we are begging to talk sense with the other side. For now we will have joint shows until we map a way forward,” he said.

He said it was an exciting experience sharing stage with his counterpart after some years of split.

“He is a good man and instrumentalist and if we unite we will definitely make it,” he said.

Musaengana said they were taking important steps in tracing back to the original Ngosimbi Crew.

“That is the most important factor for now and we are happy to see that promoters like Mudzudzu are coming on board,” he said.

Mudzudzu said they wanted to bring the two groups together so that the legacy of Kasenga is restored.

“We want the legacy of Kasenga to be restored. He is a good musician and we need to have his legacy restored. We will work tirelessly in making sure the two groups get together and move forward,” said Mudzudzu.

Apart from shows Mudzudzu has called on upcoming and established artistes to come and perform on Sundays at the place.

“They should come and perform on Sundays to entertain their fans,” said Mudzudzu.
