JBC laid a marker in their title chase with a commanding victory over UZ Stars in the Harare Basketball Association Super League.

Likewise, UZ Sparks beat Bunnies 52-45 to cling on top of the women’s log standings.

The Super Six league is a new format which is being contested for by the HBA’s best six teams from both men and women’s sections.

Each team will play against each side five times.

The Addison Chiware team were 69-44 to the good to take their tally to 22 points, six above second-placed Leopards Academy who themselves beat Bucs 60-51.

The close contest between fourth-placed Foxes and Harare City Hornets ended 76-68 in favour of the former to push the latter at the base of the log.

In the women’s league, leaders UZ Sparks are a point above Vixens who are on 19 points with JBC sitting on 18 points following their 50-44 win over Harare City Hornets.
