It’s music divas day at Padziva Edith WeUtonga

It’s going to be 12 good hours of live music as Jive Zimbabwe celebrates female musicians at the monthly “One Big Party” at Padziva, along Kirkman Road near Dzivarasekwa Extension tomorrow.

Themed ‘‘We Are Here’’, the concert brings the best of female artists from different genres, giving them a space to showcase their talent.

Big names at the event include Diana Samkange and bass guitar maestro Edith Weutonga all celebrated names, who of lately have been side-lined from major events as promoters continue with their bias towards male entertainers.

Dancehall star Queen Kadija who has been making waves at live performances will also grace the event. Her powerful vocals have made her one of the few female forces of reckon in Zimdancehall.

Out to prove themselves, all female afro-pop band Vedu, who recently came second at the Chibuku Road to Fame Harare provincial finals are another group to look forward to. Though they still have a long way to go compared to aforementioned counterparts, the group has been delivering good stage performances.

Other musicians to perform include the Music Crossroads Divas, Tete Pipilo, DJ Lioness, Tendai Chimombe, Pauline, Ami Jamanda, Caychi and Alice.

The show will start at 2pm running until 2am on Sunday.
