Hundreds of teens and youths from different backgrounds have registered at the new sporting academy, “Dragon Force F.C Porto’ which was launched recently.
To begin with, the agency Dragon Force F.C Porto is a certified agency subscribed at the F.C Porto in Portugal which is a bonus for locals who have been verifying and querying about the agency.
With tight competition in the soccer system, the agency has gained recognition with local authorities and locals who applauded the organisers for opening the academy at a good time. The academy is nurturing talent from 3-20 years old who will then have an opportunity to participate on an international level— a chance to travel to Portugal among other countries.
In an interview with The Herald on Saturday Lifestyle, Youth Interactive section, some parents said the agency will be useful, especially this coming holiday.
“I read about it two weeks ago and last weekend I paid a visit at Alex Sports Club, to understand and get first-hand information about the agency and get to know the coaches,” said Mrs Monalisa Makoni who had come to check on the updates of the academy.
“I later registered my two boys and I am happy with the discipline and integrity I observed at the club. The boys liked the uniform and the coaches were welcoming. They will start their session this weekend.”
Another parent from Marlborough identified as Mr Peterson Jack who registered his 11-year-old son last Wednesday said the agency came at a good time as they are counting down to the holiday.
“Not that the boys will be busy this coming holiday, playing soccer at the academy but it is also a relief to us parents as we will no longer be worried about holiday activities for the children,” he said.
“Besides he loves soccer much and I was wondering, where to find the best academy to train my child. Of late there have been bogus agencies but I have tracked and researched this one which is much more genuine. I then call the relative ministry to endorse this because this is good for the community.”
However, long queues were observed during the smooth registration process at the agency’s respective office at the Bachelors Republic Store along Jason Moyo Street and Sam Nujoma Avenue in the CBD.
The academy which is situated at Alexander Sports Club in Harare offers training, and transferable soccer skills with an ambition to give you an international market opportunity, thus after you register with them.
After the opening January of the football School in Fortaleza, Brazil, the implementation of the Dragon Force International Certification at FC Beira, in Mozambique, FC Porto opens now the Dragon Force Academy in Harare, Zimbabwe, making it the third project to be implemented internationally in 2023 by Dragon Force Academy.
