BARELY two seasons in the ZIFA Northern Region Division One league, Herentals have made their intentions known ahead of the 2016 season as they went overdrive in their recruitment exercise which has seen them bringing on board several experienced players.

The team is seeking a change of fortunes by luring some experienced players to their side.

Herentals have so far brought midfielder Charles Rukwani from Triangle to add their attacking options as they seek to win the championship.

The team also raided Hartley Academy and secured the services of defender Blessing Maunga and midfielder Clemence Zimondi.

Striker Gift Saunyama joins from Bulawayo Chiefs.

Prince Mutasa has also joined the ambitious team.

Coach Kumbirai Mutiwekuziva said he is happy with the additions to the squad.

“We are happy that we are preparing well and things are going according to plan. We cannot talk much about the upcoming season but we are preparing very hard.

“The team has been doing well and we have a lot of experienced players whom I believe are going to help us.

“We have a lot of exciting players.

“I think we are going in the right direction,” said the coach.

They have also enlisted veteran goalkeeper Munya Diya to help them with the recruitment process.

Ageless forward, Innocent Benza, who is now 44, says he will play for another season.
