Final Warning, the dancehall duo made up of brothers Prosper (Proda) and Edward (Stable) Dembedza, has released a single congratulating President Mugabe on his 92nd birthday.

The duo has become a regular feature on local TV with their music videos which are mainly based on national events.

Their latest single is salutary to the President who turns 92 on February 21.

One of the members Proda told The Herald Entertainment that it has become a norm for them to release songs for the leader every year as a way of celebrating the man who has made the country what it is today.

“For us it is a taboo not to release a congratulatory message to His Excellency President Mugabe. This is a man who has sacrificed a lot for Zimbabwe to be what it is today,” Proda said.

“As youths, we have benefited a lot from the President’s initiatives and we will continue to say ‘Long Live Gushungo, Long Live Baba Chatunga! We love you!’” he said.

Proda said the duo is working on the video for the song and it will be hitting the screen by tomorrow.

“We would like to thank the Zanu-PF Youth League for sponsoring our video shoot and the video for the song ‘Happy 92nd birthday Gushungo’ will be out by Wednesday,” he said.

On the other hand, Zanu-PF National Secretary for the Youth League Pupurai Togarepi has hailed the youthful musicians for remembering and honouring the President saying they will do anything in their power to assist them on their noble initiative.

“These guys have been coming up with songs for the President, First Lady and the nation at large. We feel that this is something that is commendable for the youths and they need our support,” Togarepi said.

“We are funding the video for the song and we urge other youths out there to take a leaf from these two who are doing the nation proud,” he said.
