With a single round of matches remaining before the curtain comes down on the Turkish Super League, Zimbabwe international, Teenage Hadebe, who plies his trade for relegation-threatened Konyaspor remains optimistic of his team surviving.

Boosted by his recent performance over the past weekend in which he was named in the Turkish Super Lig team of the week, the Zimbabwe international is not moved to look much into the recognition but instead, he’s concentrating on helping his team survive relegation.

“It’s always good to get such kind of recognition on your performance and I am happy to have been named in the team of the week,” said Hadebe.

With his team 15th with 41 points, Hadebe is hoping to carry on with his form and help his team maintain its Super Lig status.

“At the moment I am concentrating on my game and helping the team survive relegation and I am hoping that I carry on with form to our last match of the season,” he said.

Konyaspor host Galastaray on Sunday.

Interestingly the two teams will go into the fixture needing a point to achieve their goals.

A point for Konyaspor will be enough for the team to survive relegation while a point will be enough for Galastaray to be crowned the 2023-24 Turkish Super Lig champions.

Hadebe admits that it won’t be an easy task for his charges on Sunday but remains confident in their quest to survive the chop.

“We would want to end our season on a high and for us to do so we need to at least get a point against Galastaray to survive.

“We are ready for Galastaray and we know it won’t be an easy game for us because they need a point also to win the championship,” said Hadebe.
