comedian Lazarus “Gringo” Boora will partner two gospel musicians this Saturday to entertain hundreds of orphans at Eden Children’s Village (ECV) in Doma, Mhangura.

Musicians Aleck Dumbu and Pastor Marvelous Masina are expected to cheer the orphans with performances at the village. The two musicians confirmed the development, saying orphans and the elderly in old people’s homes deserved a treat so that they did not feel neglected and isolated.

“As artistes, we thought it was important to remember children at this orphanage during this festive season as they are normally left out,” Dumbu said. Pastor Masina said the visit will also provide the orphans with an opportunity to showcase their musical talents.

“We will also help expose musically talented children and find those good enough to collaborate with us,” he said. ECV Child Welfare Administrator Mr Patterson Stephano expressed gratitude over the artistes’ gesture in remembering the orphans during this festive. Zimbabwe national cricket team players have in the past visited the orphanage and played matches with the orphans. ECV is a Church of Christ-run orphanage.
