Home Affairs and Cultural Heritage Minister Kazembe Kazembe yesterday praised the Government and the International Organisation for Migration (IOM)’s ongoing cooperation in leading the management of migration issues, which are essential to the success of National Development Strategy 1’s (NDS1).
Minister Kazembe met IOM’s director Ms Diana Cartier and the two discussed various issues.

The minister said the IOM will help shape the management of migration data in the country.

“We are deploying technologies and they also have solutions in data management. They have offered to assist us whenever we need help in those areas,” said Minister Kazembe.

Ms Cartier said the IOM is committed to ensuring an improvement in the management of migration data.

“One of the key areas we discussed was on data management and having information that is available on migration,” she said.
