UNITED States-based Ben Follet-Smith has once again turned the tables on the leaders after taking control of the National Aids Council Pro-Am golf tournament at Royal Harare yesterday.

Follet-Smith is making his second appearance at the tournament.

He followed his opening round 69 with a 71 yesterday.

“I am happy to be on top of the leaderboard and I am looking forward to the third and final round.

‘‘I put myself under pressure during the second round when I targeted a 65 or so but that never was.

“I hope the course will not be this challenging and we can see some low scores,” said Follet-Smith.

William Lake, who had taken an early lead at the beginning of the tournament, is now lying second.

Lake is among the 63 top players taking part in the tournament now in its second year running and is likely to play alongside the Follet-Smith again today.

Robson Chinhoi, Steven Ferreira and Ryan Cairns are joint third with an aggregate 142 at the close of the second round.

Trainos Muradzikwa, a Royal Harare-based professional, is in sixth place.

Muradzikwa is also tied with South African Dannie Moore and Mohamad Mandhu.

Zimbabwe Professional Golfers Association and NAC have sponsored the tournament that was also held at the same venue last year.
