Feli Nandi in league of her own

From the backdrop of being a talented backing vocalist to the limelight of a phenomenal leading singer, Feli Nandi took Harare music scene by storm with her highly anticipated show, “A Night With Feli Nandi.”
This unforgettable musical event was hosted by Gateway Stream Music last Friday night at Rainbow Towers VIP Lounge, which was highly attended.
“One Night With Feli Nandi” is an extension of the solo shows we used to do at Theatre in the Park.
Some music critics have said that Feli Nandi has borrowed the phenomenon of United States singer Beyonce Knowles of having a “Coachella” concert, where all eyes are on her.
She came, delivered, and conquered.
The songstress took it to the stage in a room full of her fans and did not disappoint, this proved that she is loved by many.
It could be a daunting task for artistes to have a “one-night concert” which is not an album launch or not supported by bigger artistes but rather much of an executive appeal to your fans.
It was clear that Feli’s star power had reached new heights. Feli Nandi, with her signature style and incredible vocal prowess, left an indelible mark on the audience as she took centre stage.
What was even more remarkable was her ability to host a sold-out event without the need for a supporting act.
One couldn’t help but notice the electrifying atmosphere that engulfed the room on that magical evening as the show was not only sold out, but more people continued to flock in eager to witness Feli Nandi’s captivating performance.
Her commanding stage presence and remarkable talent were enough to keep the audience enthralled throughout the night. But Feli Nandi did more than just showcase her talent, she also used the stage to introduce some upcoming artistes who are making waves in the local music scene.
Names like KayC Pricosh, Calvin Mangena, Sam Koroni, and Tahtah were brought into the spotlight.
These talented artistes had previously worked with Feli Nandi on the “Mubayei” remix, which had gained recognition and popularity through the Mubayei online challenge.
“They were winners of a TikTok challenge, and their renditions were incorporated into the remix,” she said. It was a testament to Feli’s commitment to nurturing new talent and giving back to the music community.
Feli Nandi’s rise from a backing vocalist to a powerful leading singer is a story of determination, talent, hard work, and having a high-quality team.
She is a new star in Zimbabwe’s music “constellation” who is bound to set new milestones in the world of music.
However, credit goes to promoter and host, Gateway Stream Music who have managed to host artistes, promoting their music and yet alone partnering with them in achieving their endeavours.
It is such one organisation that has stood the taste of time since its birth into the local music scene. They are the ones who brought the Redefined Concert, which was the talk of the town, uniting different genre artistes under one roof, forgetting about the beef and grudges of the artistes, their goal centred on entertaining the masses.
A staunch fan of Feli Nandi, Priscilla Makoni from Highfield said was happy with how the songstress is growing and relate with fans.
“I never miss her shows. This was a big test from her and kudos to Gateway Stream for organising such feat hence we need more of these,” she said.
“Back to Feli Nandi, I thought she would not have sold out because we are used to having “shows” with big artistes under one roof but this one was a different one. For a different, held on Friday and it looked like an executive show. Well done Feli for this.”
