A local company, Farmec, scooped three awards at the recent Massey Ferguson dealers conference in Johannesburg, South Africa. Farmec won the best AGCO distributor in Africa, best service/parts and best Massey Ferguson dealer in Africa for 2017

The company’s general manager, Mr Jim Mcsorley, received the awards on behalf of Zimplow t/a Farmec.
He thanked the AGCO management for their support throughout 2017 and applauded the Farmec team for working hard.
Mr Mcsorley quipped in jest: “In the year of the Soccer World Cup, hat-tricks are in the making, so tonight is Farmec’s evening of hat-trick awards.”

Zimplow Holdings group chief executive officer Mr Mark Hulett said the awards were testimony of the hard work by the board and management.

“When I joined Zimplow Holdings, my immediate focus was on the right staffing for all our key positions, then equipping the staff with the necessary resources such as skill, through sending the artisans for training at the various Massey Ferguson centres outside Zimbabwe, and providing them with the products in the shelves and warehouses,” said Mr Hulett.

“We have enhanced even our internal control system to include a CCTV, new ERP system and introduction of competent staff across the units. This on its own improved service delivery and we can guarantee assurance over custody of our customers equipment.”

Mr Hulett said the company boasts high-tech equipment like the MF7600 series and the wet clutch Global series.
He said the equipment had proved efficient and effective.
Farmec recently introduced the MF300 series, which is both economic and efficient for the emerging farmer.
