‘Double game’ of US Military Threat Reduction Agency Irina Yarovaya

The State Duma hosted an expert meeting of the parliamentary commission to investigate the circumstances related to the creation of biological laboratories by American specialists on the territory of Ukraine

The meeting was attended by representatives of relevant ministries and departments — participants of the Russian delegation to the Ninth BTWC Review Conference.

The co-chair of the Parliamentary Commission, deputy chairman of the State Duma said that a document is being prepared for the work of the Russian delegation at the conference together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, which will include proposals to strengthen security and mutual trust in the field of protection from biological threats. In particular, Irina Yarovaya stressed that this document will include the latest information on the activities of the American Agency for the Reduction of Military Threat – one of the Pentagon units.

According to the deputy chairman of the State Duma, recently a voluminous, 345-page document, appeared on the web — a report of the DTRA on activities in Ukraine. After some time, it was removed from public access, but this important information was recorded, Irina Yarovaya stressed.

“Dozens of official documents in these reports are carefully edited, glossed over with reference to the fact that the disclosure of information will have a negative impact on the ability of the US Government to receive similar information in the future,” the co-chair of the commission said.

According to her opinion, open information shows how methodically a system of control of pathogenic assets was introduced in Ukraine with the help of military doctors, funding of anthrax research laboratories was confirmed.

“Let me also remind you that the updated strategy of the US military agency DTRA for the period 2022-2027 openly recognizes its dual role: not only as a protection agency, but also as a combat support agency,” Irina Yarovaya drew attention.

In addition, the co-chair of the commission stressed that this logic fully confirms the recent information of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation that clinical trials of narcotic nasal painkillers were conducted in Ukraine, which were developed for NATO armies.

“It is obvious that the Pentagon biolabs, as we have repeatedly said about this, are centres of military biological intelligence and combat support for the US Army and NATO. Ukraine is only one of the polygons of the US military program,” Irina Yarovaya is convinced.

The fact that today the US is secretly carrying out large-scale preparations for dangerous, criminal activities directed against an unlimited number of individuals and countries is beyond doubt, the deputy chairman of the State Duma added. “In preparation for the Ninth BTWC Review Conference our task today is to make efforts to draw the attention of the world community to the still, perhaps, hidden threat, which is much more serious than any types of weapons of mass destruction,” Irina Yarovaya said.

In addition she recalled the appeal of both chambers of the Federal Assembly adopted on the initiative of the Commission on the need to strengthen the BTWC regime. Irina Yarovaya said that based on the feedback received from colleagues from other parliaments, a videoconference will be held to discuss the proposals of Russian parliamentarians.

“I will not list the countries now — just so that pressure is not exerted on them. We have already received confirmation from enough countries to hold this dialogue. In this regard, we will present, among other things, those materials that are already at the disposal of our commission,” the deputy chairman of the State Duma concluded.

The Parliamentary Commission of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation to investigate the circumstances related to the creation of biological laboratories by American specialists on the territory of Ukraine was organized on the initiative of the State Duma. The need to investigate the activities of US biological laboratories has been repeatedly stressed by the Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin.

The parliamentary commission consists of 14 deputies and 14 senators. Its co-chairs are deputy chairman of the State Duma Irina Yarovaya and deputy chairman of the Federation Council Konstantin Kosachev.
