Dorcas Moyo dismisses engagement rumours

AWARD-WINNING gospel diva, Dorcas Moyo, has dismissed rumours of her engagement that are circulating on social media.
The Mutare-based songwriter said a scene in her upcoming video “Ndinako Kutenda” sparked the rumours.
The video will be released this weekend.
Dorcas said her phone had been inundated with calls since Wednesday.
“I have been receiving calls from thousands of fans seeking clarity. Social media trolls are having a field day,” she said.
“In this video, l was acting as a maid who had found a life partner. Lampy from Diamond FM was acting as the one proposing to me.”
Dorcas also said her marital life remains her secret.
“I am one of the people who have gone through a lot but I prefer some privacy on that matter. At the moment, I am concentrating on my musical career,” she said.
Dorcas is one of the consistent female artists performing at State functions and other high-profile events.
Besides her latest album ‘Mvere Dzabvepi’, she boasts of a rich catalogue of albums comprising ‘Ndokusheedzai Jesu’, released in 2006, ‘Ndinokutungamirira’ (2009), ‘Zvininipise’ (2018), ‘Ndibatsirei Mwari’ (2019), ‘Pamarah Tapfuura’ (2020), ‘Bvisai Marara’ (2021), ‘Bvudzi Rangu Ramera’ (2022) and ‘Mhanza Haisekwe’ released last year.
