Adv Dinha, who was addressing the media after handing over the reins last week, hailed the Presidium for striking a gender balance in the appointment of new ministers.

“As Mash Central, we believe in team work and as such I am prepared to render the necessary support to the new minister and the province at large,” he said.

“She is at liberty to contact me any time for any support or advice. I also want to thank His Excellency, President Mnangagwa who is a visionary leader who took cognisance in the efficacy of gender balance in the leadership of the country.”

He said Cde Mavhunga was well versed with the development needs of the province and he had no doubt that she would tackle all challenges with skill and acumen.

Cde Mavhunga said she was thankful to President Mnangagwa for appointing her to the post and her vision was to uplift and develop the province economically for it to make a significant contribution to the Gross Domestic Product.

“We will carry on with the development thrust of Mbire and Kanyemba to be model tourist hubs.

“The province supports the philanthropist work, which is being done in Kanyemba by the First Lady, Amai Auxillia Mnangagwa. This is aimed at improving the living standards of the people of this remote area.”
