Digital solutions company owner Onias Ndebele dies

Founder of Integrated Digital Security Solutions (IDSS), a digital solutions company and Zimpost board member Onias Ndebele has died.
He was 52.

Ndebele made a significant impact on the country’s cyber security marketing landscape.

In a statement, IDSS said: “It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our chief executive officer and founder, Onias Ndebele.

“Recently hospitalised for treatment of a heart condition, Onias was 52 years old.”

A close friend, Charles Mungororo told The Herald that Ndebele died on Wednesday at a Harare hospital after a heart complication.

“I am deeply saddened and shocked by the death of Onias Ndebele. It was unexpected. At this sad moment, we express our deepest condolences to his wife Nobuhle, children, and family,” he said.

“His sudden death is a heart-wrenching reminder of how unpredictable life can be.”

Ndebele was the driving force behind IDSS’ success in the cyber security landscape where he carved out a niche in the competitive industry, supplying internet security solutions and anti-virus software to Government agencies, companies, and other institutions.

Cyberoam, a globally renowned provider of internet security solutions and anti-virus software, appointed IDSS as its official Zimbabwean security software company distributor.

Ndebele founded the company in 2006.

He was born on November 25, 1972, in Plumtree. Ndebele did his primary and secondary education in Plumtree and Bulawayo. He graduated with an MBA degree in 2018.

He is survived by his wife Nobuhle and four children.

A funeral service is set for September 14.
