PREMIERSHIP giants Dynamos are pinning their hopes on the mid-season transfer window, which opens next month, to bring stability to their faltering campaign. DeMbare, who have had a difficult week after falling to their heaviest defeat of the season and the sudden resignation of club president Kenny Mubaiwa, will be out to avoid more pain when they travel to Vengere tomorrow for a league game against Mutare City Rovers.

“Obviously, the world over, even teams like Barcelona, who have a potent strike-force, are looking to buy Antoine Griezmann to add to their firepower,’’ said assistant coach Lloyd Chigove.

“At Dynamos, we are also looking to use this window period to try and redress the shortcomings in our attack.
“We do have some players that we have identified but the final decision lies with the head coach who is away in South Africa.
“But I think at the moment we have quality in our defence. There is competition but we have been facing challenges with injuries to some of our senior players like Obey Mwerahari. We hope he will come back on time and help our cause.

“Obviously, we will bolster our midfield given that we have two slots for juniors that have to be filled. We also have a slot that was left vacant by Epoupa which also needs to be covered.

“But by the end of June I am sure we will have a clearer picture of which players to bring in and which other departments we might want to take care of.’’

DeMbare have scored the least number of goals in the league after 15 games and are currently wallowing in the relegation zone with just two rounds of play before the mid-season break.

DeMbare were without a leader yesterday when they conducted a photo-shoot with supporters in a programme organised by their sponsors NetOne yesterday.

‘’The training programme that we are following is the one that has been drawn up by the head coach and we are implementing it.

“Probably my duty is to adjust on match day. I don’t think there is much that I can add because we have to work on a given philosophy.

“These boys have a lot of respect for me. I have handled some them at different levels before and at different clubs.“Dynamos supporters should not lose heart. This league has proved to be quite tricky in terms of predictability this season. You see a strong team like Ngezi Platinum falling to a team like Bulawayo Chiefs.

‘’The same Bulawayo Chiefs also felled FC Platinum. So we have to treat every game seriously,” said Chigowe.
Skipper Ocean Mushure will miss the match through suspension.

Defender Marshall Machazene has been given the responsibility to lead the side.
“We know are going through a difficult phase, of which it happens to any team in football. But it doesn’t necessarily mean that we are bad players.

“We know our supporters are not happy and we are also not happy as players. It’s a challenge for us to turn things around. We have to look back and correct our mistakes and start winning games for the betterment of the institution,’’ said Machazane.
