Chitungwiza-based upcoming dancehall musician Clarence Marowa, popularly known as Killa Trilla, is set to perform in South Africa for the early Valentine’s Day  treat. The show is being hosted by Fire House 24 and the musician is expected to perform at Kempton Park and Germiston on February 7 and 8 respectively.

Killa Trilla of the “Dai Ndakadzidza” fame said he was happy with the invite and promises some fireworks.

“I can’t wait to perform for not only Zimbabweans in South Africa but every race in that country. I have some songs centred on Valentine’s Day since my performance will be based on that theme. I am happy to go for the show and I have already started preparing for the tour,” he said.

He said he will travel with his manager.

“Due to some financial constraints, I am travelling with my manager only. I would love to go with some friends but the expenses are too high for me. I sometimes do live band shows but on this one I am not sure of the logistics and I will only know when I get to SA,” he said.

His manager Edmore Ndlovu said he is happy for getting the opportunity. He added that the trip will boost their confidence on projects they are doing locally including a DVD release set for next month.

“We have already started shooting the DVD album which will have only two promotional songs such as ‘Dai Ndakadzidza’ and ‘Ikoko’. We shot the two songs in Chitungwiza as a way too to promote our area of origin and it was done with full HD cameras so as to meet regional standards. We will get there, it is just a matter of time.

“There are a lot of musicians in dancehall and there is need for serious marketing to make impact. There are many singles released but less videos and it appropriate to use this opportunity,” he said.

Killa Trilla is also amongst the musicians who are touring United Kingdom early next month under the show organised by Phab Entertainment.

He started singing in 2009 while at primary school and has won several student talent competitions shows.
