Mvurwi Town Council has bought a 15 tonne tipper-truck to complement government’s Emergency Road Rehabilitation Programme.

This was confirmed by council chairperson, Alderman Shereni Mazhambe who said the USD$84 000 truck was bought using council coffers.

“Council has secured a 15 tonne tipper-truck which will be used mainly for road works as well as assisting in other council related businesses like water and sewer reticulation maintenance.

“This will see the successful implementation of Government’s Emergency Road Rehabilitation Programme since we have been facing challenges in the recent past as we relied on hiring,” he said.
