LEGENDARY coach Sunday ‘Mhofu’ Chidzambwa says it will be difficult for Dynamos to win the race for the Castle Lager Premiership title and believes either FC Platinum or Ngezi Platinum will triumph. The country’s most decorated coach, though, says there is still too much at stake and anything can happen. He will take his ZPC Kariba for a date against FC Platinum at Mandava tomorrow and Chidzambwa says they will give it their best shot.
“It is not going to be an easy game. FC Platinum want to win the league and we also want to finish the season very strongly. We would love to finish in a respectable position and we are going to fight until the end of the season. We have prepared well for the game but you know football is football and anything can happen but we have prepared well. The two platinum teams have a good chance to win it. They have a better chance of winning the title than anybody else,’’ he said.
Mhofu, though, believes any of the top four sides can win.
‘’Any of the top four teams still have a chance of winning the title but FC Platinum and Ngezi Platinum have the best chance of winning the league,” said Chidzambwa.
FC Platinum coach Norman Mapeza said they were moving in the right direction.
“I think we are moving in the right direction. We just need to win our games. Ngezi is on top of us on better goal difference. At this stage of the season we are not worried about goals, we just need to collect maximum points,’’ he said.
“I will not care how many goals we have scored, the most important thing is to collect maximum points. Ngezi are going to come here but we do not want to talk about that as we still have ZPC Kariba and Tsholotsho. We need to concentrate on our games and not get worried with what happens across town. We need to collect maximum points against ZPC Kariba and Tsholotsho and see what happens when we play Ngezi at home.”
