TWO more poll surveys have given Zanu-PF Presidential candidate, President Mnangagwa, a clear lead against the MDC Alliance and its presidential candidate Mr Nelson Chamisa. The surveys, released yesterday, coincided with the unveiling of an MDC Alliance election manifesto by Mr Chamisa.

The opposition MDC Alliance launched its election manifesto yesterday which political analysts said lacked originality as it largely plagiarised Zanu-PF policies since 2013. The manifesto is titled the “New Zimbabwe Pledge for a Sustainable and Modernisation Agenda for Real Transformation” (SMART) and was launched at Jubilee Centre in Harare.

THE July 30 harmonised elections are a call to safeguard the country’s freedom, integrity, respect and dignity, virtues that Zanu-PF fought for leading to independence, President Mnangagwa said yesterday. Addressing the Zanu-PF Women’s League National Assembly meeting at the party’s headquarters in Harare, President Mnangagwa urged the nation to vote wisely and safeguard the country’s liberation history.
