A gang of five armed robbers posing as car dealers selling a Honda Fit stole US$3 000 cash from a 21-year-old  man on Saturday along Sebakwe Road in Glen Norah B, Harare. 

National police spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi said the victim had linked up with the gang on social media and was lured to Waterfalls where the deal was supposed to be finalised. 

In another incident, police in Kwekwe arrested Felix Chingama (46) on Saturday on murder charges over the killing of his uncle, Prosper Munanzvi (55), at Village Kombora, Silobela.

Chigama reportedly struck Mr Munanzvi with a brick once on the head and then hit him with a stick all over the body after accusing his uncle of dating his wife. Mr Munanzvi died on the spot.

Meanwhile, police in Zvishavane are appealing for information which may lead to the arrest of a gang of six who are being sought in connection with a murder on Saturday near Mandava Bus Terminus in the mining town. 

 The gang assaulted Lovemore Ngwenya (30) with machetes after accusing him of assaulting a 14-year-old teenage girl for unknown reasons.

Comm Nyath said the teenage girl died upon admission to hospital in Zvishavane. Two of the six suspects have been only identified as Donny and Enthel.
